How to make dauphinoise potatoes

Hi everyone in todays post ill be telling you how to make dauphinoise potatoes which is basically potatoes cooked in milk with cheese i hope you enjoy and come back for more.

Ingredients you will need
  • potatoes, peeled        500g
  • milk                          225ml
  • cream                       250ml
  • egg yolk                    1
  • cloves of garlic           1
  • salt, pepper
  • grated cheese, preferably gruyere cheese       50g

Step 1-Slice the peeled  potatoes 3 mm thick.

Step 2-Heat the milk and cream with the garlic.

Step 3-Add the sliced potatoes to the milk and cream season and place in an ovenproof dish.

Step 4-Sprinkle with grated cheese and cook in the oven at 170oC until the potatoes are cooked and golden brown.
